academia to make writing and reading fun and exciting.
Zahid always tells his listeners and students that long before he became a writer he was a reader. Children need to feel that reading is a doorway to the imagination and Zahid’s journey which was quite different from most writers will ring a bell in the heads of the children. Whether he is working with boys and or girls, Zahid can stimulate the imagination of children of all ages to read and write and to the think and question. Zahid has the ability to galvanise and catalyse the excellent work already being done by pupils and teachers and enhance the ability of children. Zahid makes writing poetry, telling stories and sculpting short-stories thrilling and fulfilling.
With his help, schools will find it easier to meet their national curriculum targets much more easily. Children and young people will learn to write without realising it. Any child that feels it can create its own world with words will feel empowered and uplifted. An added benefit is that English and creative writing impacts every subject in the curriculum and be??er communication ability will provide improved quality of life. Zahid is a great believer that by inspiring children and young people to look and read and to overcome the jeers of peers, they can transcend and discover their own undiscovered country: in their heads.
Zahid uses many examples of great writing from around the world which is vitally important in today’s diverse reality and these stories and insights into life will inspire children to read and to write for themselves.
